I am what i learn

I am what i learn has helped me understand that every person is a result of what he or she have learnt in their life, everything is inside of us we have the power to decide what are we going to do with our lives, if we think big we are going to become big, the power of success in life is in us.

The video talked about the disadvantages of using power point in a presentation, it is very true that power points presentations can be very helpful but also we need to be aware to not over use it because it can turn against us, for example it can draw our audience's attention away from the main idea that we are trying to introduce to them, we can use it but making sure that the power point is there to support our teachings and not vice versa.

Video Reflection

I found the video about mushups very interesting, its a very good teaching tool to use in a classroom to teach any subject, children love visual aids and tend to learn better when they can see the things that they are being taught, for that reason its something that ill definetly study more to be able to use it in the future with the kids.

The Pross of Digital Cameras

I thin one of the best features of Digital Cameras is the instant feedback that we can get, right after we take a pictures with a digital camera, we can see the photo we just took displayed, if dont like the picture we took we can take another one and problem resolved. Another thing that i really like about Digital cameras is the fact that we dont need to print every single picture we take, we can choose from the ones that we really like and get them print.

One of the features that i found very helpful is that we can share our pictures with friends and family that do not live nearby, it is very easy to send them anywhere in the world, and helps you share your precious moments with family and friends that are far away.

The great thing about is also that we dont need rolls of films to storage our pictures with a simple memory card we can be able to store more that 200 photographs is a lot better than having to carry tons of rolls of film.

Anyways there are many other features that make Digital Cameras a great discovery we just have to know how to use them and be aware of the different things we can do in our classes by using Digital Cameras.

I liked the video very much, each one the rules that was introduce in the video were very specific and easy to a child understanding, there are so many bad things on the internet people with bad intentions that we as educators need to aware our children of that, and the video that we watched is a very good way to do it, its simple clear, and short.

I think is very important for student to be able access to the internet.The Internet it is a great resource of leaning that we are able to have in nowadays, even thou we know the risks that the children have in the internet, i believe that by talking to them explaining them what can and cant do in the internet, we can help them know how to evaluate a website so they can be aware of the things they have to be careful with. We can teach them to ask questions to themselves to know how accurate that website is for example they might ask themselves, Would my parents feel ok with me watching this? or simply call their parents or teachers when they feel that the website is not accurate. One way that as a teacher i can help my students be safe while surfing could be posting a list of the things they need to be aware of close to the computer, or even more important being with them while they are doing it, so they can feel they are no alone.

I found the UEN website to be a very important tool for us as a future teacher and for our futures students, at beggining i thought how am i going to be able to use this website as a kindergarten teacher, i thought this is too muchn information for little kids, but as i ventured on the website i found very interested sites that i can use in my future class with the little kids, one of the sites that i really liked was the Preeschool Pioneer that is located in the Pionner Library, i found so many resources that are going to help to become a more effective teacher, i also found all kind of information related to Early Chilhood Education i sumerged in the Head Start information that i found in the same site and after reading that im considering strongly working for them in the future.

I also found very interesting interactives to help kindergartend kids learn about the alphabet, numbers, music. There is one activity where the children are ask to help cute bears to get in alphabetical order, and other where the children are ask to use puzzle pieces to make shapes, very very useful tools for helping childrens learn in a fun way. For the other hand i ventured on diffrent lesson plans for kindergarten kids, this is definetly one of the thing that i enjoyed the most reading about, you can find all kind of lesson plan to teach little kids, that is definetly a great tool for any teacher.

Core Curriculum is another great tool specially for kindergarten kids it helps you to understand the objectives of the course what is important for a 5 years old kid to learn one of the objectives talks about the importance of oral language, the main objective is to help children develop language for the purpose of effectively communicating through listening, speaking, viewing, and presenting.

And last but not less i enjoyed learning about Distance Education i found so many different courses that i can take in the future that are going to help me become a better professional, there are so many tools in this website that definetly is going to be something that is going to be part of my education during my school years and definetly once i become a kindergarten teacher.

I really enjoyed watching the video assigned for this week, it really hit me not only as an student but also as a future kindergarten teacher, it made me realize as an student how important is to fulfill my responsability for my education, by working hard no matter how hard our circunstances are, there are not excuses for failing at school, we must do the best that we can to be able to be great proffesional, specially as a future teacher our responsability is even more because we are going to be the once forming children to become great people in the future, we will have the responsability of pushing students to fulfill their potential, to help them to make a great future.
Also this week i got to learn about UEN website, witch i found very interested another great tool for students and teachers. As i was getting familiar to the website this week i found so many resources there, that im very excited to start using then. its a great tool that its going to help me through my college years, and absolutetly once i become a teacher, i found so many different resources for early childhood education teachers that im difinetly going to use it once i graduate and start working with kids.

Im really enjoying the things im learning in this class this past week we did an overview of how to work in google document and the different things we can do on it, we have some problems presented to us at the time of wanting to insert an image in our document but through the review that we made we were able to clarify that part, we also were introduced to google presentation that is the power point of google, i like so much the fact that we can work with our groups doing everything in google it is so much easier and it definetly save us a lot of time.
As a student this tool is very helpful not only for this class but for my other classes too, i had the chance to introduced google document to other classmate from another class, since we were having a group homework, we are working in google document and it has helped us so much, i definetly planning in using this tool through my college time and also in the future when i have my students, well for the moment im just interested in teaching kindergardent but its a great tool that i can use with other teachers at the time to prepare a lesson for the kids.
I totally love spending time and teaching little kids, till now i just had the opportunity to teach at the church but my point is that anything that i can use to make children learn and to have an enjoyable class ill do it and the things that im learning in this class are totally gonna help me as a future teacher to be prepare for the kids, even thou this is something that im not gonna be able to share it with the little kids but its something that im gonna need to be prepared for them.

I really enjoyed the video "I am what i learn" assigned for this week, it reminds me how important education is in the life of every human being , without education nowadays we are nothing, it is something so vital in our lives, for that reason we must take advantage of every opportunity that we have to to learn to be educated, if we are one those very fortunate people that are enrolled in an academic level, we must push ourselves and commit with our education to be able to be great professionals to serve our community and progress in this world.

I really liked this week, i felt like i learnt many things that definetly are going to help me not only in the future but right now in my life, i wasnt aware of all the tools that we can access through google, i found it very interested the fact that we can actually use google document as a Flash Drive it is so much helpfull, those are things that im definetly going to make part of my teacher carreer and also im gonna share in the future with my future students, nowdays we have so many resources to teach the technology that surround us makes it so much easy to learn and study, just sometimes we are not aware of all the tools that the technology has for us.

My ideal classroom

My name is Diana Duarte and i love children thats the main reason why i chose to study early childhood education, because i wanted to work in something that i would really love, i dont wanna have to wake up every morning upset for having to go to work, and as i said before i just love children they are so inocent and sweet that ill do everything to make them feel special and loved, i would love in the future to be able to teach children of 4 and 5 years old i believe that those are the most important ages since their mind are so fragil and so ready to learn and there are so many things that one as a teacher can do to help them devolop diferent skills, i think 12 to 15 children will make a perfect classroom i would be able to focus in each one of them, and having a preschool in my own house will make it even more perfect, i want a big classroom so the chidren can have enough space to play and learn and express themselves.
